I ordered this green hot sauce as part of a project I'm doing at the Foods of the World discussion group (www.foodsoftheworld.activeboards.net) on the cuisine of Central America. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I ordered two small bottles; one for me and one for a friend.
Wow! I understand why, if there were such a thing, it would be the national hot sauce of Guatemala. From what I understand, they put it on everything.
I can see why. Smooth, flavorful, and just enough bite to perk things up, without blowing the roof of your mouth off. Even Friend Wife, who doesn't do heat, enjoyed it.
My only regret is that I didn't order the large bottle. But that's being rectified.
