The Huancaina sauce is a delicious cream to eat with potatoes or chips. I enjoyed it so much that I had to share it with my friends and acquaintances..
It tastes delicious
I accidentally place 2 orders instead of 1, but it was worth it. It all came in good condition and shipping was timely. In regards to the flavor, I grew up eating huancaina as a side dish. Every family has it's own version and as a result, the flavor can be more or less salty/milky/cheesy/ or even leave you with an onion/garlic after taste. Having said that, this flavor is a really good 'safe' flavor (meaning that it's rich in texture, not spicy, not too salty, with a just a bit of sweetness to make an overall great sauce). Almost like the sauce version that you would give to your kids or people who can't eat spicy things. Considering that is really hard to get "queso fresco" in some places (a main ingredient), I would say that I really appreciate Alacena creating this sauce.
