Instructions: Preparing The Masa (Batter)2Cups MASECA® TAMAL corn flour1 1/3 cups chicken broth or water2 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. salt2/3 cup lard or vegetable shortening1. Mix MASECA® TAMAL corn flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.2. Add the chicken broth or water and mix thoroughly with your hands to make a soft-moist dough.3. In another bowl, mix the lard or vegetable shortening until light and fluffy. Add the masa and continue beating until the better becomes smooth and slightly sticky.Prepare your tamales with the filling of your choice.
